Yukon Community Program

The primary goal of this program is to offer employers in Yukon communities the flexibility to address the seasonal employment patterns prevalent in the territory. While the program emphasizes the retention and economic growth of communities outside of Whitehorse, employers in Whitehorse are also eligible to participate.

Its aim is to cultivate a sustainable labour market outside of Whitehorse by attracting workers who can demonstrate their commitment to settling permanently in eligible communities.

The participating communities include:

  • Carcross
  • Carmacks
  • Dawson City
  • Haines Junction
  • Watson Lake
  • Whitehorse

Yukon Business Nominee Program (YBNP)

To apply for the YBNP, foreign entrepreneurial applicants should ensure that:

  • Both you and your business fulfill the eligibility criteria of the Yukon Business Nominee Program (YBNP)
  • Achieve a minimum score of 65 points on the assessment point grid

Applications meeting these requirements will be placed in a pool of potential candidates for a duration of 6 months, provided that your business concept is approved.
