#192 Express Entry Draw | CEC score indicates new bottomline

Today, ten days after the last Canadian Experience Class draw, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued invitations to 6,000 candidates.

The lowest CRS score for this round is 368. With 12 points lower than the previous draw, this round’s minimum score reaches a new threshold since February’s 75 points.

A promising score of 380 points of the 190th CEC draw was a shot in the arm for many candidates. However, there were voices that alleged an end for CEC’s score decrease.

Nevertheless, another 12 points of deduction is a doubtless stimulus. Meanwhile, it contributes to the fulfillment of the Canadian federal government’s blueprint of a population boost.

Indeed, the CEC draw four months ago was a considerably rare phenomenon, one can even deem it as a historical milestone of the Canadian immigration system. Yet it was merely the beginning of IRCC’s blueprint, a process that tests the potentials and patience of applicants.

From the latest data provided by IRCC on June 7, all streams in the Express Entry (EE) adds up to 166,786 candidates. Those who fell in the 351-400 ranges occupies the highest percentage: 54,974 candidates in total.

IRCC plans to introduce 108,500 new federal skills trade immigration in its 2021 Immigration Levels Plan. Util the end of May, the agency has already invited half of the designated cap.

Although the recent downward trend of CRS scores spurs optimism, it also encourages greater competition. With current travel restrictions still in place, Canada has been granting leniency towards the applicants residing in the nation.

Nevertheless, a climbing number of vaccinated residents and an impeding border reopening leave candidates with not much time. Before the wave of immigration merits recedes, applicants who score 350 or above should submit their files as soon as possible.
