Canada opens operations centre in the Philippines
On March 3, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the opening of a new operations centre in the Philippines to enhance global immigration processing capacity.
In order to support Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, the Canadian government set up a new application processing centre in Manila, Philippines. The centre aims to improve the processing time and increase Canada’s ability to handle growing numbers of immigration applications.
The new centre will provide support for visa, work, and study applications, as well as permanent immigration applications. There are 37 employees in the centre to support the applications.
